New White House CIO
For the first time, the White House has named a Chief Information Officer. The new CIO, Vivek Kundra, was formerly CTO for the District of Columbia. Examples include a contest for new widgets to assist citizens that resulted in time-saving benefits and without the cost of hiring personnel to create the programming necessary.
