This may be through technical assistance, education, or a corrective action plan developed between the covered entity and OCR or CMS.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;The new enforcement rule emphasizes HHS’s desire to correct violations informally without levying penalties. Very interesting model to watch. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;Seems the State of Hawaii is convinced that the model will help provide better and more cost effective care to its citizens. Be a free agent independent contractor. &lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;You hit on a couple of the key legal issues for us to watch:&lt;BR/&gt;1. privacy/security issues&lt;BR/&gt;2. med mal litigation issues for web-exams. This is an area where discussion and debate are certainly needed.&lt;BR/&gt;&lt;BR/&gt;There are still major issues with medical practice systems being able to communicate with each other.
